Amita-Sofia, M.A., Priestess of the Rose Lineage, Astrologer, Art Historian, Tantrika, Writer, Oracle.
Amita has a Masters Degree specializing in symbolism & mythology in European Medieval + Renaissance Decorative Arts & Culture from the Parsons School of Design, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution in New York City.
She worked for years as an award-winning art museum curator, mounting 10 exhibitions that she conceived, organized, & mounted, before moving to an ashram in 2008.
Trained in classical Tantra & Bhakti Yoga in the lineage of master yogi Baba Hari Dass, Amita was the first woman to priestess at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple in the Santa Cruz mountains in 2011.
She has been training teachers in tantra & bhakti yoga methods for over a decade. A kirtan artist, Amita has provided response vocals for such luminaries as Govind Das & Radha, Saul David Raye, Prema Hara & Zach Leary.
An astrologer, Amita has been actively co-creating with astrological cycles for over 20 years. Cosmic Rhythms is her most popular program.
In 2019 she made her vows on the Holy Isle of Avalon as a priestess of the Rose Lineage at the Avalon Rose Chapel in Glastonbury, England.
Her passion is awakening & empowering women + men to their gifts on the transformational path of the priestess + priest through goddess + god archetypes, Star wisdom, myth, ritual, magic, & leading sacred site pilgrimages all over the world.
Please Note: For all trainings + retreats, deposits are non-refundable. After deposit, rates are not refundable if any portion of a retreat/training is canceled within two months before a retreat or training begins, but if more than two months, 50% of rate is partially transferable to another program or retreat less an additional $250 administrative fee per person within 2 years of initial payment. After 2 years of initial payment, 50% transference expires. Any credit expires after 1 year of issuance. There is a $75 late fee for tardy payments for trainings + retreats. An additional $75 is due for every week payment is late.
Amita reserves the right to prohibit any person from continuing on a trip or program, or going on a future trip/program with no right of refund if, in Amita’s opinion, the retreatant’s actions or behaviors are jeopardizing the enjoyment of the retreat or program for others.
Amita’s decision will at all times be final on all matters likely to affect the safety and energetic well-being of the retreat/program group.
Amita reserves the right to alter retreat programs and itineraries due to weather, road conditions or other circumstances. These programs may be changed or cancelled at any moment due the trip to assure the safety of our clients and staff. No responsibility is accepted for losses, expenses due to delays, changes of flights or other services because of strikes, accidents, sickness, damage, negligence, weather, war, changes in schedules or other similar causes.
Amita does not assume responsibility for accidents or deaths that can be traced to the participants’ negligence, acts of third parties or exterior circumstances such as weather, natural occurrences, ware or other similar causes.
